This past weekend the Grand-Am Rolex and Continental Tire series saw their way to southern New Jersey for the Global Barter 250 and B+ Heroes 200 at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, NJ.

When we think of Hybrid, we don’t think of a 500hp fire breathing targa topped coupe ready to take on the Nürburgring, or your daily commute to work.

Whenever an automotive manufacturer launches a performance version of one of their vehicles, there tends to be a lot of talk and commotion. Photographers clammer to get their first shots and editors look to have the first article on the stands (or web).

Singer Vehicle Design rolled out its first prototype, plainly named the “Singer 911,” at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance last month. Based on an ’80s-era long-wheelbase 911 donor vehicle, the company strips each chassis to its bare shell for “reinvention” into what Singer calls a “celebration of the golden air-cooled era of the world’s most important sports car.”
